Jalandhar October 6 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The PG Department of Computer Science & IT of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized an informative 3-Day Workshop on “AI Unlocked: A Beginners Journey into Intelligent Systems”.
The session was conducted by Ms. Harrachneet Kaur, Relationship Manager, Techcadd, and Ms. Payal, AI/ML Engineer, Techcadd, who served as the resource persons for the workshop.
Ms. Payal highlighted how AI is increasingly becoming an integral part of everyday life- from voice assistants and recommendation systems to intelligent automation and data-driven decision-making. She also presented a practical demonstration of an AI/ML model developed using Python, giving students a glimpse into how raw data can be transformed into meaningful predictions and intelligent outcomes. The hands-on demonstration made the session engaging and helped students understand the practical potential of Python, Machine Learning, and AI in solving real-world problems.
The interactive session encouraged students to explore the potential of emerging technologies and inspired them to develop a deeper interest in Artificial Intelligence
Dr. Lovely Sharma, Dean, I-Tech Group, also addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of awareness and practical knowledge of Artificial Intelligence in today’s technology-driven world. She emphasized the need for students to stay updated with emerging technologies and develop future-ready skills. She appreciated Ms. Chahat, Ms. Vineet, Ms. Puneet, and Ms. Abantika for their efforts in organizing the workshop. The session concluded with a vote of thanks to the resource persons and all those who contributed to its successful organization.
President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other honourable members of the Managing Committee, and the worthy Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar lauded the efforts of the department and appreciated the initiative for equipping students with essential knowledge of Artificial Intelligence.
