Jalandhar September 17 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, organized the Student Council Investiture Ceremony with enthusiasm and dignity to formally induct the newly appointed student leaders for the academic session. The ceremony was celebrated with the spirit of leadership, responsibility and service among the students. The event was conducted under the insightful guidance of the principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ekta Khosla, whose constant encouragement motivates students to take up leadership roles with confidence, sincerity and discipline. The programme was commenced with a warm welcome extended to Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla by Dr. Urvashi Mishra, Dean, Student Council, along with her team.
Dr. Urvashi expressed her gratitude to the Principal for her constant support and welcomed her to the significant occasion. The central attraction of the ceremony was the presentation of badges to the newly appointed student leaders. The badges symbolized the trust, responsibility and confidence entrusted to the students by the institution. A total of 18 Office Bearers, 33 Task Force members, 110 Class Representatives, 180 members from various societies of the college and 80 members of the Discipline Committee were inducted. Addressing the newly appointed leaders, Principal Dr. Khosla congratulated them and advised them to uphold the values, ethos and traditions of the institution.

Principal Dr. Khosla highlighted that effective leadership is demonstrated through exemplary conduct, the ability to inspire others and a sincere commitment to serving the institution. Head Girls Kamalpreet (PG) and Pahul (UG), along with Himanshi, Head of the Task Force, were specially acknowledged for taking on significant leadership responsibilities. Their roles reflected the commitment, discipline and spirit of service expected from the student leadership team. The Guests of Honour, Ms. Gurleen and Ms. Kriti, former Head Girls and accomplished student leaders, shared their experiences with the newly appointed council members. They encouraged the students to take their responsibilities with confidence, perseverance, humility and dedication.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Mamta, the Senior-most Faculty Member; Dr. Seema Marwaha, Dean Academics, Dr. Anjana Bhatia IQAC Coordinator, Mrs. Kuljit, In-charge, Discipline, faculty in-charges of various clubs and societies and members of the Student Council. On this event, Co-Dean of Student’s Council Mrs. Savita Mahendru, Mrs. Jyotika Minhas, Dr. Deepali, Ms. Harmanu, Dr. Jiwan Devi and Mrs. Protima Mander were also present. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Kuljit. She expressed her gratitude to the dignitaries, Guests of Honour, faculty members, society in-charges and student leaders for their valuable presence and contribution to the success of the event. The occasion marked an important step towards empowering and nurturing confident, responsible and committed young leaders of HMV.
