HMV Organizes Workshop on ‘Career Readiness Skills’

Jalandhar September 16 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Placement Cell of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, in collaboration with, taptap blackbucks, Bengaluru, organized a workshop on “Career Readiness Skills” for final-year students. The workshop was held under the insightful guidance of Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ekta Khosla with the objective of preparing students to face interviews and placement challenges with confidence after completing their studies. Mrs. Deepti from taptap blackbucks, Bengaluru, was the resource person for the session. She highlighted the significance of career planning and explained the importance of developing career-readiness skills in today’s competitive professional environment.

She provided the students with valuable guidance on resume preparation, including different platforms for creating resumes, effective resume-writing practices, suitable resume templates, and common mistakes that candidates should avoid. She also familiarized the students with various components of placement assessments, including Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, English and Technical Rounds. Her insights helped students to understand the recruitment process and the skills required to perform effectively in placement tests and interviews.

Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla congratulated Mrs. Deepti and Mr. Jagjit Bhatia, Dean of the Placemen, for organizing the informative workshop. Dr. Khosla remarked that such initiatives broaden students’ perspectives and enhance their preparedness for future professional opportunities. Principal Dr. Khosla also motivated the students to remain committed to continuous learning and skill development.

Mr. Jagjit Bhatia, Dean of Placement cum the Coordinator of the event, expressed his gratitude to Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla for her constant encouragement and support. He also encouraged students to make maximum participation in such sorts of workshops. On this Occasion, Members of the Placement Cell, including Mr. Sumit Sharma, Mrs. Jyotika Minhas, Mr. Pardeep Mehta, Mr. Ashish Chadha, Mr. Parminder Singh, and Dr. Mandeep Kaur from the Department of Punjabi, were also present.
