Jalandhar September 6 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- In a remarkable step towards environmental stewardship, 30 enthusiastic volunteers from the Eco Club under the NSS wing, of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, visited Science City, Kapurthala, to deepen their understanding of global environmental challenges and pledge their commitment to conservation.
Guided by Dr. Simkee Dev, Dean of the NSS Wing and Eco Club, the students embarked on an educational journey, exploring the wonders of the Dinosaur Park and marveling at nature’s beauty. The visit also featured two thought-provoking presentations—one detailing the causes of global warming and actionable measures to combat it, and the other explaining the origins of life on Earth.

They were made aware of the impending challenges future generations will face due to environmental degradation if immediate action isn’t taken. With this newfound knowledge, the volunteers pledged to play an active role in protecting and preserving the environment.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra lauded the initiative, emphasizing the importance of such educational experiences in shaping responsible global citizens. She added that the Eco Club was established with the vision to enlighten our youth about pressing environmental concerns like global warming and inspire them to take meaningful steps toward conserving our planet. It is heartening to see our students not only learning but committing to real change.
She also expressed her deep appreciation for the commendable efforts of NSS teachers, Ms. Rachita and Mr. Kunj, in organizing this impactful visit. She highlighted that practical exposure to environmental issues, empowers students to actively participate in addressing global challenges.
