Jalandhar September 12 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Post Graduate Department of Fashion Designing of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, organised a guest lecture on “Entrepreneurial Opportunities in the Indian Fashion Industry” to familiarise students with the emerging opportunities and evolving trends in the rapidly growing fashion sector.
The session focused on various entrepreneurial avenues available to aspiring fashion professionals, including fashion start-ups, apparel and accessory businesses, sustainable fashion, handicrafts, customised clothing, e-commerce and digital marketing. The resource person, Mrs. Jyoti Kapoor, elaborated on the importance of innovation, market understanding, effective branding and identifying consumer needs for establishing and developing successful fashion ventures. She also encouraged students to explore their creativity and transform their skills and ideas into viable entrepreneurial opportunities.
The lecture provided students with valuable exposure to the evolving landscape of fashion entrepreneurship in India and motivated them to consider entrepreneurship as a promising and rewarding career pathway.
