Jalandhar September 12 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The PG Department of Psychology at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, organised the Investiture Ceremony of the ‘Psychology Forum’ and ‘The Listening Room’ with great enthusiasm. During the ceremony, deserving students of the Psychology Department were entrusted with various positions and responsibilities on the basis of their academic performance and active participation in co-curricular activities.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra motivated the students and said that the primary objective of these forums is to enhance students’ confidence and encourage them to take initiative and organise events independently. She emphasised that such platforms enable students to move forward fearlessly on their life journey, develop their personalities and strengthen their ability to make appropriate decisions according to the demands of time. Dr. Dhingra further stated that dedicated and sincere efforts help students develop mental strength and a positive outlook.
During the ceremony, the new office-bearers of the Psychology Forum for the Session 2026–27 were announced. Shruti was appointed President, Jiya as Vice President, Shobhna as General Secretary, Harsimar as Deputy General Secretary, Disha as Administrative Head and Akshpreet as Deputy Administrative Head. Navneet was appointed Executive Head, Jasneet as Deputy Executive Head, Yashika as Creative Head, Sanah as Joint Creative Head, Riza as Deputy Creative Head, Komalpreet as Discipline In-charge and Ridhi as Discipline Sub-In-charge.
Prishapreet and Maria were appointed Event and Hospitality Heads
For event management, Prishapreet and Maria were appointed Event and Hospitality Heads, Neelakshi and Bhavleen as Joint Event Coordinators, and Sanah and Kashish as Deputy Event Coordinators. For media coverage, Vanshika was appointed Press In-charge, Dakshpreet as Press Team Coordinator, while Diksha, Tamanna and Jia were appointed as Press Team Members. Manya and Sanchi were entrusted with the responsibility of Treasurers, while Falak, Niyati and Sameera were appointed as Volunteers.
For ‘The Listening Room’, Sahajpreet was appointed Student In-charge, Himani and Suhani as Coordinators, while Harshita, Sukhsehajpreet, Akshita, Palak, Jasleen, Shreya and Hansika were appointed as Support Buddies.
Similarly, for the ‘Psych Fiesta Committee’, Niharika was appointed Student In-charge, Sahania as Coordinator, while Nandini, Sneha, Dhun, Bhumika, Lakshmi, Krishna and Sameera were appointed as Volunteers.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Dr. Neerja Dhingra presented badges to all the newly appointed office-bearers and congratulated them. She encouraged them to discharge their responsibilities with sincerity, dedication and commitment. She also appreciated the efforts of the Psychology Department faculty members, Ms. Niharika and Ms. Harjas Kaur, for successfully organising the investiture ceremony.
