Jalandhar September 7 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organized a two day workshop on Dry Needling on World Physiotherapy Day. Dr. Pomila Chopra (Director and Founder, Physio World, Ludhiana) and an international certificate holder in ‘Dry Needling’ and an alumnus of Apeejay College, was present as the keynote speaker.
In this two-day workshop, Dr. Pomila Chopra told the students that dry needling is a new emerging medium of physiotherapy through which pain in muscles, ligament, skin spasm and stiffness can be cured through a needle without medicine. She added that target arra is treated with needle pressure. Consequently, the smooth blood flow resumes and the patient feels relieved from the pain.
Apeejay College is known for its quality education and abiding by the principles laid down by the Founder President Dr. Styapaul Ji and the encouragement and able guidance of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, President, Apeejay Education, Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University and President, Apeejay Stya & Swarna Group, the students here are given as much opportunities as possible to explore and learn what is trending and is new.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra, while expressing her views said that our aim is to provide practical knowledge to the students along with class teaching so that when they finish their degree, they feel confident to take their first step in their respective careers. She also appreciated the efforts of Dr. Neeraj Katyal, Head, Department of Physiotherapy and Dr. Nitika Gupta for organizing this workshop and encouraged them to keep up with the good work.
