Jalandhar May 14 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The PG Department of Commerce and Management at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, is currently conducting Skill Enhancement classes for +2 students, aimed at familiarizing them with key aspects of Business Communication.
Faculty members from the Commerce Department, Ms. Rashmi and Ms. Mehak Devgan, provided students with insights into various forms of communication, including written, oral, and gestural communication. They also discussed the impact of several factors such as stress, trust issues, chain of command, environment, and technology on effective communication.
Students were introduced to key barriers in communication such as semantic, organizational, and socio-psychological barriers, along with their relevance to real-life scenarios. An engaging activity was also conducted, during which students discussed how these factors influence their personal communication experiences, making the session interactive and reflective.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra highlighted the importance of the subject, stating that many students today aspire to become successful entrepreneurs, and having a strong foundation in business communication is essential for achieving this goal. She emphasized that if students become proficient in business communication alongside earning their graduation degrees, nothing can stop them from becoming successful entrepreneurs. She also noted that the National Education Policy 2020 encourages students to develop skills based on their interests, and these classes are a step in that direction.
Dr. Dhingra applauded the sincere efforts of Ms. Rajni Gupta and Dr. Seema Sharma for the successful organization of these Skill Enhancement classes.
