Jalandhar February 23 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya celebrated the birth anniversary of Swami Shraddhanand Ji with great enthusiasm under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla. She extended her greetings to the students and said that no revolution or transformation happens in a single day; it requires continuous hard work, dedication, knowledge, values, and experience.
She emphasized that the relationship between a Guru and a disciple is not merely that of a teacher and a student, but of a guide and a seeker. Citing the example of Swami Shraddhanand Ji, who regarded Swami Dayanand Ji as his Guru and carried out numerous social reforms, she encouraged the students to follow Vedic ideals and work for their own progress as well as for the upliftment of all.
Dr. Meenu Talwar, shared her views on the Guru–Shishya tradition
On this occasion, Head of the Sanskrit Department, Dr. Meenu Talwar, shared her views on the Guru–Shishya tradition. She highlighted the importance of a Guru in life and discussed the duties of a disciple, encouraging students to follow the path shown by their teachers and adopt noble values. She also answered the queries of the students and motivated them to inculcate virtues in their lives. A Vedic quiz based on the life of Swami Shraddhanand Ji was also organized.
Kumari Jahnavi secured the first position by answering the maximum number of questions, Kumari Vonika stood second, and Kumari Savita secured the third position. Prizes were distributed to all participants. To conclude the event, Dean Vedic Studies, Dr. Mamta, presented the vote of thanks and encouraged students to participate enthusiastically in such events. Head of the Hindi Department, Dr. Jyoti Gogia, along with other faculty members, was also present on the occasion.
