Jalandhar February 23 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts brought laurels to the institution by winning the Overall Trophy at the ‘Punjabi Maat bhasha 2026’ ,organized by Punjabi Sahit Akademi.
Expressing immense pride in the students’ achievement, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra stated that participation in such competitions not only provides a platform for students to showcase and refine their talent but also helps them establish themselves successfully in their chosen fields. She further added that while such competitions instill confidence in students, they also make them aware of their shortcomings, enabling them to improve and grow in the future.
Dr. Dhingra congratulated all the prize winners and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence and bringing glory to their college and parents.
In Calligraphy, Jaskirat Kaur (M.A. Fine Arts, Semester IV) secured Second Prize
In the various competitions held during the fair, the students delivered outstanding performances. In Poetry Recitation, Sukhan Johal (B.A. Semester VI) secured First Prize. He also won First Prize in Story Writing and received a Consolation Prize in Poetry Writing. In Calligraphy, Jaskirat Kaur (M.A. Fine Arts, Semester IV) secured Second Prize.
In Idiomatic Expression, Ankush (M.Voc Theatre, Semester IV) and Himanshu Kalyan (B.B.A. Innovation, Semester II) secured Second Prize. Dia Talwar (B.F.A. Applied Arts, Semester VI) won Third Prize in Poster Making. In the Folk Song Singing Competition, Armaan Singh (B.A. Semester IV) secured First Prize.
Dr. Dhingra also appreciated the dedicated efforts of the faculty members of the Punjabi Department—Madam Lovepreet Kaur, Madam Anuradha, and Dr. Raman Dhadra—for their valuable guidance and mentorship. She commended their commitment and encouraged them to continue motivating students to actively participate in such competitions in the future.
