Jalandhar April 28 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Zoology Department of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar in collaboration with Synergy Pathology Lab., Jalandhar organized “Workshop cum Hands on Training on Medical Lab Techniques” under the inspiring guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The workshop was aimed to enrich the students with the skills of performing various medical Techniques with special emphasis on Histopathology. The resource person of the workshop, Mr. Jagjiwan (Senior Lab. Technician) was presented green welcome by Dr. Seema Marwaha, Dean Academics and Head of Zoology Department.
Principal, Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated the organizers including Dr. Seema Marwaha, coordinator, Dr. Sakshi Verma and Mr. Ravi Kumar conveners for their dedication and efforts in organising such events through which provide a platform to students for having practical knowledge of the subject thereby improving their scientific temperament.
The students enthusiastically participated in the workshop and received Hands on training on the methods of collection of blood samples, the procedure of sample collection, block preparation, cutting of thin section using microtome, staining and preparation of permanent slides for histological studies. Additionally, Mr. Jagjiwan explained in detail the possible errors that may occur and precautions need to be taken during performing the various Laboratory tests. Mr. Sachin assisted in making all arrangements for the event.
