Jalandhar October 5 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, organized the grand Inter School Competition, Yuvan-2024: The Young Talent, under the visionary leadership of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Mrs. Ajay Sareen. The magnitude and splendour of the event were truly reflected by the enthusiastic participation of 400 plus students from 40 plus schools across Punjab. Yuvan-2024 provided a vibrant platform for young talent to showcase their skills, fostering self-confidence and creativity. The campus buzzed with youthful energy, transforming into a colourful celebration of talent and innovation.

Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen, alongside Dr. Seema Marwaha, Dean Academics and Event Coordinator, Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Dean Innovations and Event Convener, extended a warm and heartfelt welcome to the esteemed Chief Guest, Sh. Sushil Rinku, Former Member, Parliament. He praised HMV’s significant role in nurturing young talent and its contributions to social welfare.

As he toured the competition venues, he encouraged the enthusiastic participants to follow career paths driven by their passions, free from the pressures of external influences. The students showcased their talents across eight competitions, which included On the Spot Poster Making, Nail Art, Instagram Reel Making, Rangoli, Working Science Models, Code Queens, AdMad Show and Jodi da Gidha.

A panel of esteemed judges presided over the competitions which included names of Ms. Ramanpreet, Founder NGO Green Sparrows, Mrs. Binoo Gupta Dean Student Welfare, Mrs. Navjot Kaur, Folk Dance Expert, Dr. Sandeep, Assistant Professor HMV, Mr. Vikas Vohra Cluster Head, Mr. Pidilite, Mr. Rajan, Dr. Rakhi, HOD, Department of Design, HMV, Dr. Saloni Sharma, HOD PG Department of Physics, HMV, Dr. Shaveta Chauhan, Assistant Professor, HMV, Mrs. Sonia Mahendru, Associate Professor, HMV, Dr. Urvashi, Dean Student Council, Dr. Rama Sharma, HOD PG Department of Mass Communication, Dr. Shailendra Kumar, Assistant Professor, HMV, Ms. Mukti, HOD, PG Department of Cosmetology and Ms. Jyoti, Assistant Professor, HMV.

The Valedictory session commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a soulful rendition of the DAV Anthem. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen, Dr. Seema Marwaha, Dean Academics and Event Coordinator, and Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Dean Innovations and Event Convener, extended a warm welcome to the esteemed Chief Guest, Sh Y K Sud Member LC. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen expressed her gratitude to the guest and commended the diligent efforts of the organizing committee.

She emphasized that the event aimed to guide the youth towards their destinations. She emphasized that Yuvan-2024 serves as a guiding light, helping the youth navigate their journeys toward success, while nurturing their talents and aspirations beyond academics.

The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to the winners, while all participants received certificates of appreciation. Dr. Seema Marwaha expressed the vote of thanks, and the event was gracefully conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia. The event concluded amid resounding cheers and celebratory chants from the victorious participants.
