Jalandhar August 29 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Placement Cell of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar, successfully organized an Employability Skills Training Program sponsored by District Bureau of Employment and Entreprises, Jalandhar and Mahindra Rise in collaboration with the NAANDI Foundation.
The program was conducted by Ms. Anju Jain, a renowned Soft Skills, Pedagogy, Technical, and E-content Trainer.
The primary aim was to help students overcome their fear of speaking English, build confidence, and enhance their employability quotient.
Spanning several sessions, the training program focused on essential areas of professional development. Ms. Jain led the participants through interactive workshops, group discussions, and mock interviews on Body Language, Professional Grooming, Goal Setting and Time Management, Professional Communication, Money Management, Professional Ethics, Critical Thinking, Group Presentation, Digital Identity and Problem Solving.
These activities were designed to provide a supportive environment where students could practice and improve their communication skills.
The collaboration with NAANDI Foundation and Mahindra Rise was instrumental in the program’s success. Their support facilitated high-quality training and underscored the importance of initiatives that bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations.
Overall, the program was a significant step forward in the college’s ongoing efforts to prepare students for professional challenges.
