DAV University Honoured with National Ranking Award at G-SEC 2026

Jalandhar January 20 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- DAV University, Jalandhar has added another prestigious accolade to its achievements by being bestowed with the National Ranking Award in Sports and Physical Education for Best Institution for Sports Laboratories and Research Facilities at the Global Sports Education Convention (G-SEC 2026). This convention was successfully organised by the Centre for Sports Research and Innovation (CSRI) at the India International Centre, New Delhi in collaboration with Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.

G-SEC 2026 brought together eminent academicians, sports scientists, physical educationists, administrators, and policymakers from across the country to deliberate on emerging trends, innovations, and challenges in sports education and physical education at the global level.

It is pertinent to mention that the award was conferred in the presence of senior officials from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, renowned sports educators, and representatives of leading educational institutions. This recognition reflects DAV University’s sustained commitment to fostering excellence in sports education, cutting-edge research infrastructure, and holistic student development.

Expressing pride over the achievement, Prof (Dr) Manoj Kumar, Vice Chancellor of DAV University stated, “This national recognition is a testament to DAV University’s vision of integrating academic excellence with sports, physical education, and research. Dr. Yeshbeer Singh, Deputy Director (Sports) and Coordinator, Physical Education, DAV University, received the prestigious award on behalf of the University. Speaking on the occasion Dr Yeshbeer said, “I express my sincere gratitude to the Centre for Sports Research and Innovation (CSRI) and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports for this prestigious recognition. This award motivates DAV University to further strengthen sports education, enhance research initiatives, and elevate athlete performance in the years to come.”
