Jalandhar March 27 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Department of Journalism & Mass Communication of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar observed ‘World Theater Day‘.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra expressing her views on this occasion, said that our college provides multiple platforms to hone the talent of the students; so that they can get the exposure and achieve success in their respective fields. She added consequently, our students shine in all the Theatre items liks – Skit, One – Act Plays etc during Youth Festival. Also, it was a proud moment for the college when our students won the titles of Best Actor and Best Actress during Youth Festival held by GNDU, Amritsar.
On the occasion of ‘World Theater Day’, a monologue competition was organized in which students showcased their talent by reciting their favourite dialogues from their favorite movies. In this competition, Nidhaan Jain (BJMC Sem 6th) stood first, Diksha Nayyar (BJMC Sem 6th) and Gursimran Singh (BJMC Sem 2nd) stood second and Hargunpreet Singh (BJMC Sem 6th) and Rohan Singh (BJMC Sem 2nd) stood third.
Dr. Dhingra congratulated the students for doing well in the competition and winning top positions and also acknowledged the efforts of Dr. Nivedita Khosla and Mr. Mohit of Department of Journalism for successfully organizing this activity.
