Jalandhar September 25 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, organized a PowerPoint Presentation (PPT) Competition on the theme “Role of Ayurveda for a Healthy Future” to create awareness among students about Ayurveda and promote a healthy lifestyle. The event was organized under the insightful guidance of Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ekta Khosla and the direction of NSS In-charge Ms. Harmanu Paul. During the competition, students presented their views on Ayurveda’s ancient knowledge tradition, preventive healthcare, balanced lifestyle, natural healing practices, and its relevance in the contemporary world.
Through creative and informative PPT presentations, the participants highlighted the importance of a nutritious diet, yoga, daily routine, natural living, and preventive measures for maintaining good health. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ekta Khosla appreciated the initiative and stated that imparting health awareness among young people is the need of the hour. Further, Dr. Khosla remarked that Ayurveda encourages individuals to maintain harmony with nature and adopt a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
Moreover, Principal khosla added that such activities not only enhance students’ knowledge but also develop their presentation skills and creativity. Navjot Kaur (B.A. Semester I) secured the first position. Noorjot (B.Sc. Semester III) and Jahanvi (M.A. Political Science Semester I) jointly secured the second position, while Natasha (B.Voc. Mental Health Semester V) won the third position. Lakshmi (B.Com. Semester I) received the consolation prize.
Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ekta Khosla appreciated the students for their enthusiastic participation and encouraged them to continue taking part in such creative and enriching activities in the future. Dr. Pawan Kumari, Assistant Professor, Department of Hindi, and Dr. Mandeep Kaur, Assistant Professor, Department of Punjabi, served as judges. NSS members Dr. Sandeep Kaur, Assistant Professor, Department of Punjabi, and Dr. Deepti Dhir, Department of Hindi, were also present. The programme concluded successfully with the felicitation of the meritorious participants.
