Jalandhar July 8 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, commemorated the 102nd birth anniversary of the First Lady of the Apeejay Stya Group, Mrs. Rajeshwari Paul, with a heartfelt musical tribute. Her deep appreciation for the fine arts inspired the Founder, Dr. Stya Paul, to establish Rajeshwari Kala Sangam, laying the foundation for an institution dedicated to nurturing artistic excellence.
On the occasion, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra read out the message of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson of Apeejay Education, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, and Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University. In her message, Mrs. Berlia said that her parents, the Founder Chairman of Apeejay Education, Dr. Stya Paul, and her mother, Mrs. Rajeshwari Paul, were not only passionate patrons of various art forms but were also deeply committed to the preservation, promotion, and dissemination of Indian art and culture. She described them as individuals who believed in simple living and high thinking, spread selfless love, and were known for their compassion and kindness.

Inspired by her passion for the arts, Dr. Stya Paul established Rajeshwari Kala Sangam with the vision of making art accessible to all. Today, that vision continues to flourish through Apeejay College of Fine Arts, which has become a centre of excellence in Performing Arts and Visual Arts, carrying forward their dream and spreading the fragrance of art far and wide.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra remarked that not only the faculty but also the students of the college are dedicated to preserving the rich legacy of Dr. Stya Paul and Mrs. Rajeshwari Paul through their relentless pursuit of excellence in the arts, thereby taking the institution’s artistic heritage across the nation.

The students of the Department of Music captivated the audience with soulful devotional bhajans, while the students of the Department of Performing Arts presented a magnificent Indian classical dance performance in loving memory of the First Lady, offering a graceful musical and cultural tribute to her enduring legacy.
The programme was elegantly compered by Ms. Pallak Saini from the Department of English. Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra appreciated the dedicated efforts of Dr. Arun Mishra, Advisor, Cultural Affairs, Dr. Amita Mishra, Dean, Youth Affairs, and Dr. Rimpy Aggarwal, Head of Fine Arts Department, for the successful organisation of the event.e honoured with the certificates.
