Jalandhar January 2 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The P.G. Department of Chemistry of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya completed 30 hrs value added short term course titled “Ecofriendly lifestyle” under the able guidance of Principal, Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ekta Khosla. The course Incharge, Mrs. Deepshikha, Head, Chemistry Department outlined a comprehensive approach of theory and practical demonstration in the course curriculum. The course laid emphasis on the various aspects which affect our health and environment as later plays a major role in deciding our lifestyle.
The focus of the course is to encourage the participants and the masses to follow a healthy lifestyle which causes no or minimum harm to our environment. The aspects of curriculum included environmental hazards on human health, environment protection and various government initiatives, awareness on sustainable living: Reduce, Recycle and Reuse, drinking water quality analysis and parameters, food adulteration, sustainable fashion and its importance.
The hands on training to check drinking water quality and food adulteration in common food items like milk products, honey, ghee, turmeric etc. to the participants was also organized during the course. The teacher incharges of the course were Mrs. Deepshikha and Ms. Tanisha.
