Students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts participated in National Business Plan at IIM Bangalore

Jalandhar March 1 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar brought glory to the college by showcasing their talent at IIM Bangalore. The students- Archa, Stuti Kharbanda, Tanisha, Gagandeep Singh of BBA Sem 4th Sem and Sushoban and Karanveer Singh from B. Voc. E.Commerce & Digital Marketing 4th Sem participated in the 11th National Business Plan organized by Makeintern and Unmaad at IIM Bangalore Campus. There were 106 entries at the national level in this National Business Plan Competition, in which students of Apeejay college competed against the students coning from different streams like technology and science and cleared the initial round and made their place in the first 8 teams.

In this National Business Plan, the students showcased the rich heritage of India through ‘HATHkari’ Business plan and proved that in ethnic wear by using Indian art forms like Tanjore, Dhokra, Warli etc., we can manufacture garments decorated with Gond. Like t-shirts, shirts, suits or stoles. This can also generate the employment for the Indian youth in these art forms and also such clothes shall be unique and creative. The jury showered praises for the students for presenting this business plan.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra expressing her views on this occasion said, ” Here at Apeejay, we provide every opportunity to the students which could help them in overall personality development and boosts their self-confidence. Also, today’s age is an age of competition and it is essential for to shine amongst the crowd. The opportunities to participate at prestigious Institutions like IIT and IIM are in itself bonus and we ensure that our students become the part of such competitions and learn. ” Dr. Dhingra appreciated Ms. Garima Arora and Mr. Amandeep Thakur for guiding the students.
