Jalandhar February 20 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- In a dazzling display of culinary prowess and creativity, PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar Organized a budget-friendly cooking competition under the guidance of the Home Science Department and the Institution Innovation Council. The event, held in the well-equipped kitchen of the Home Science Department, featured cutting-edge appliances like gas burners, ovens, and blenders at each cooking station.
Forty-five enthusiastic students showcased their culinary skills amidst a well-ventilated and well-lit atmosphere. The competition provided participants with a variety of ingredients, including fruits, fresh vegetables, staple foods, and spices. Each cooking station was meticulously labeled and numbered for easy identification, contributing to the organized setup.
The competition intensified as students faced time constraints while employing diverse culinary techniques such as grilling, baking, and frying. Adding a twist to the culinary creations, participants utilized unconventional ingredients like edible flowers and exotic fruits, resulting in a truly unique gastronomic experience.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Pooja Prashar graced the event as a special guest, meticulously evaluating each dish based on presentation, taste, and overall execution. The top performers stood out for their ability to balance flavors, create visually appealing dishes, and flawlessly execute their recipes.
