On the third day of NSS camp, Sanaspandan, at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, volunteers visited Village Salarpur

Jalandhar January 12 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Third day of NSS camp, Sanaspandan, at Apeejay College of Fine Arts began with Pranayam by the students under the directions of Dr. Vinod Kumar, Principal B. Ed College dayalpur. After the yoga session volunteers of NSS camp visited Salarpur village where they were welcomed by Sarpanch Madam Sharanjit Kaur and Doctor Sameer Kamboj of the village. They appreciated the efforts of social service of NSS camp of the college. With the message of Environment protection students painted the walls of the school.

Students of the school enthusiastically participated in a poster making competition organised for them on the topic of protect environment. To create awareness among people to avoid drugs and single use plastic, NSS volunteers took out a rally in the village so that they don’t use plastic in the regular life and avoid drugs. Students discussed with the people of the village that how we can keep ourselves safe by saving environment.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra presented her views on the topic and said that students these days are involved in technology only. It is essential to include yoga to live a healthy life. That is why we have organised this camp Sanaspandan by including different activities along with yoga. Thus with the practice of yoga students can learn the art of living. Dr. NeerjaDhingra appreciated the endless efforts of Dr. SimkeeDev, Dean NSS wing, for the smooth functioning of the camp and wished her luck for the future.
