Jalandhar February 14 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Multimedia Club of the PG Department of Multimedia celebrated World Radio Day on 13 February 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from students. The event aimed to highlight the significance of radio as a powerful and enduring medium of communication. The celebration commenced with the screening of the documentary “My Radio My Life”, which showcased the evolution and social impact of radio, emphasizing its continued relevance in the digital era. This was followed by an engaging quiz competition that tested students’ knowledge of radio broadcasting.
Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ekta Khosla appreciated the initiative, stating that such activities enhance students’ understanding and respect for traditional media. The Head of the Department, Mr. Ashish Chadha, encouraged students to explore innovative audio storytelling formats in the evolving media landscape. Dr. Navroop Kaur, Dean Youth Welfare awarded gift hampers to Kiran, Tanu, Mannat, Anjli, Shagun Sharma, Sunaina, Jasmeen, and Tamana, the winners of the quiz competition.
The programme was successfully organized with the dedicated support of faculty members Ms. Heena Dhir, Ms. Tanvi Aggarwal, Ms. Ruchika, and Ms. Neha. The celebration not only enriched students’ knowledge but also strengthened their appreciation for radio as a dynamic and evolving medium in the field of communication.
