Jalandhar August 15 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, consistently encourages its students to be aware of their responsibilities towards society and the nation, and always motivates them to celebrate national festivals. On the auspicious occasion of the 78th Independence Day, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra, along with the faculty and students, hoisted the tricolor flag amidst loud chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Bharat.” The NSS wing of the college mesmerized everyone with patriotic songs.
Addressing the students, Dr. Neerja Dhingra emphasized that this freedom has been hard-earned by our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation, and as citizens of independent India, we must respect this freedom and pledge to fulfill our duties with sincerity, contributing to the nation’s progress.
She also appreciated the efforts of Dr. Simkee Dev, Dean, NSS wing, for successfully organizing the Independence Day celebration and encouraged her to continue sensitizing students about their social responsibilities.
