Jalandhar May 18 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar once again brought laurels to the institution by showcasing their exceptional talent. The students of the B.Design Multimedia Department won the ‘Best Concept’ award for their short film ‘Khamosh Rishte’ at ‘Srijan Canvas of Cinema 2026’, organized by the School of Design and Mass Communication, GNA University.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra congratulated all the students associated with the film and stated that this achievement is the result of their dedication, hard work, and passion. She encouraged the students to continue working with the same commitment and enthusiasm so that they can establish themselves successfully in this field in the future.
Mehak Gupta worked as the director and writer of the film, while Taranpreet Singh contributed as the cinematographer and editor. Pratham Singh played the role of actor as well as editor, whereas Ananya Anand showcased her talent as an actress and graphic designer. Gurkirat Kaur performed impressively as the assistant director.
The students received this recognition for the film’s powerful writing and impactful storytelling. Expressing their happiness, the students shared that participating in the competition helped them learn many new aspects of short filmmaking, which will certainly benefit them in the future.
Dr. Neerja Dhingra also appreciated the efforts of faculty of Multimedia Department Mr. Ankit Goel and Ms. Anjali Rathore for guiding the students and expressed hope that they would continue to mentor and inspire students in the same manner in the future.
