Jalandhar March 9 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- S. Karamjit Singh Rai, the renowned personality of the academic field, who was ill for some time, bid farewell to the mortal world. With his untimely passing away, there is a wave of grief in the entire Punjabi academic world. Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, College Governing Council President, Sardarni Balbir Kaur, Joint Secretary S. Jaspal Singh Waraich, the entire Governing Council and Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh expressing deep sorrow conveyed that the Punjabi world has suffered a great loss with his demise.
President Governing Council Sardarni Balbir Kaur said that S. Karamjit Singh Rai was a visionary person who also contributed significantly in the academic activities of the college and the construction of buildings. He started a scholarship in the name of Rai family for the needy and meritorious students in the college which is distributed to meritorious and needy students every year.
All the staff and students of Lyallpur Khalsa College share sorrow with the Rai family in this hour of grief. Finally, all the teachers and students praying in his memory to God also wished strength for the family of the departed to bear this irreparable loss.
