Jalandhar October 5 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Under the guidance and support of Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ekta Khosla, the Readers’ Club of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar in collaboration with the Swami Dayanand Library, organized an engaging interactive session with renowned author and speaker Dr. Anirudh Kapoor, author of The Soul Sparks: Reflections of an Intuitive Mind. Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla appreciated the initiative and emphasised the importance of providing students with opportunities to interact with authors, thinkers and accomplished personalities. Dr. Khosla remarked that such interactions encourage a culture of reading, broaden students’ intellectual horizons and enrich their learning beyond the classroom.
The session was organized and coordinated by Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda, Dean Research, with the objective of encouraging students to engage in meaningful conversations and gain insights from the experiences and perspectives of an accomplished author. The programme commenced with a warm welcome by Dr. Mamta, Head, PG Department of English, who welcomed Dr. Kapoor on behalf of the department and the Readers’ Club. Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda then introduced the purpose and significance of the interaction before inviting Dr. Kapoor to address the gathering. Interacting with the students, Dr. Kapoor shared thoughtful insights on various aspects of life, learning, personal growth and the importance of guidance and mentorship.
His engaging approach transformed the session into an open dialogue rather than a conventional lecture. Students actively participated in the interaction, raised questions and exchanged their views, making the session lively and enriching. A special highlight of the programme was Dr. Kapoor’s presentation of a copy of his book, The Soul Sparks: Reflections of an Intuitive Mind, to the College Library. The book will provide students and readers with an opportunity to explore his ideas and reflections beyond the session.
The interaction was conducted by Angel Walia, Secretary, Readers’ Club, who effectively facilitated the conversation between the guest and the students. The session concluded on an inspiring note, leaving the participants with valuable reflections on reading, learning and personal development.
