Jalandhar January 24 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) again proved its excellence by performing brilliantly in 27th National Youth Festival organized by Ministry of Youth Affairs, Government of India held at Nashik, Maharashtra. It is a matter of great pride that the students of KMV represented Punjab in this National Youth Festival. KMVites displayed their talent and bagged second runner up position in the category of folk dancein this festival. It is pertinent to mention that in this national level festival, participants from all over India participated in the competition.

KMV team performance was much appreciated by all the judges of the competition. It is important to mention that the Giddha team of KMV has been bagging top positions at Zonal & State level Youth Festivals and moreover, KMV’s Giddha team during the last year has also bagged the gold medal in National Youth Festival held at Hubli, Karnataka. Team members said that they have been able to compete at national & international level competitions only due to the mentoring & guidance provided to them by Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi and the faculty members of KMV.

Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of the students and the sheer talent they possess while emphasising the significant role played by such festivals in honing the talents of the students. Madam Principal congratulated Dr. Gurjot, Dean, ECA & Ms. Geetika for their whole hearted and committed dedication towards the preparation of the item and hoped that they will continue their winning streak in the future also.
