Jalandhar January 24 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The students of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar excel in academics, sports and cultural pursuits in addition to partaking in extracurricular activities like NCC and NSS. On the 75th Republic Day, 13 students will participate in the march past in the regional event being hosted at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium in Jalandhar, while NCC cadets Abhishek Kumar and Gudiya Verma will represent the college on Kartavya Path in Delhi. In a press statement, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh stated that the college is pleased with the efforts and accomplishments of its students.
Although there isn’t a tableau of Punjab on Republic Day this year, six boys and girls from Lyallpur Khalsa College will march by on the day in Delhi. All students are selected after competing at the national level. Six students from Lyallpur Khalsa College are taking part in the Republic Day Parade.
He added that led by Senior Under Officer Jaspreet, Under Officer Mohan Thakur, and Ravinder Singh, the college students will participate in the Republic Day celebrations in Jalandhar. Currently, Havildar Rajwinder Singh is training the cadets in the stadium as part of the college’s NCC Unit, which is associated with the 2 Punjab NCC Battalion. On this occasion, NCC Officer Dr. Karanbir Singh and NSS Program Officer Prof. Satpal Singh were also present.
