Jalandhar July 12 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts has always been dedicated to preserving Fine arts taking inspiration from the principles and mottos laid out by its Founder Chairman, Dr. Stya Paul and under the excellent and magnificent leadership of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman of Apeejay Education, ApeejayStya and Svarn Group, and the Chancellor of ApeejayStya University. The college works tirelessly to uphold the rich heritage of Fine arts and also successfully embraced the modern forms of art in this digital age. Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra expressed her delight while shairng with the media personnel that Prateek Dutt Sharma of BFA Sem 8th of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar participated in Skill India competition held at Delhi organized by Govt. of India. In the competition nearly 900 students from 30 different states participated in different 61+ trades.
Prateek Dutt participated in ‘Visual Merchandising’ and won 3rd prize at National level and won medal and received a certificate for the same.
Sharing his experience at the Skill India competition, Dutt shared that it was an absolute privilege to participate in the competition and get an opportunity to showcase the skills. He added, while participating for multiple times during Youth Festival in Installation proved to be very helpful to win accolades in this competition.
Dr. Neerja Dhingra, Principal, ACFA, congratulated him for his achievement and encouraged him to keep up the good work. She added at Apeejay, we ensure quality education and ensure that students participate in National and International competitions which ultimately gives them exposure to explore and learn in different environments amd thus polish themselves and their skills.
She also acknowledged the efforts of Mr. Anil Gupta, Head, Department of Applied Art and the other faculty members of the Department – Mr. Vikram, Mr. Manoj and Mr. Kunj for guiding him
