Jalandhar August 28 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- To mark the beginning of an exciting new academic journey, the Central Association of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, organized a vibrant Freshers’ Fiesta 2025-26 to warmly welcome the first-year students. The celebration created an atmosphere of joy, camaraderie, and youthful enthusiasm as the seniors extended heartfelt greetings to their juniors.
The event commenced with a formal welcome by senior students Mousami and Neha of B.Com Semester V, who delivered the welcome speech. The stage was conducted with elegance and energy by ShikhaPuri. A cultural extravaganza followed, showcasing the talent and creativity of the students through enthralling dance performances, soulful songs, and witty skits. A highlight of the event was the Freshers’ Ramp Walk, where the newcomers confidently displayed their style, skills, and charm.
The celebration was further elevated by fun-filled games and interactive sessions designed to break the ice between seniors and juniors. These activities not only entertained but also helped the newcomers feel at home in their new academic environment.

Radhika from B.A Semester I was crowned Shining Star, while Neha Kashyap of B.Voc Cosmetology Semester I received the title of Dazzling Diva. Vanshika of B.Com Semester I was felicitated as Campus Queen, and Palak of B.A.B.Ed Semester I won Power House. Sanjana from B.Voc Cosmetology Semester I was awarded Fashion Finesse, Raagni of B.Sc (Eco) Semester I walked away with Best Hairdo, Sumistha of B.Com Semester I was honored with Best Walk, and Jasamrit Kaur of B.A Semester I received the title of Miss Charmer. These titles added extra excitement and glamour to the evening.
Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar, the chief guest of the day, motivated the freshers to embrace college life with positivity, discipline, and determination, assuring them of the institution’s unwavering support in their holistic development.
The Freshers’ Party not only served as an icebreaker but also strengthened the bond between seniors and juniors, setting the tone for a harmonious and memorable academic year ahead.
