Jalandhar February 12 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, under the aegis of the Red Cross Society, organized a “Poster Making Competition” on the significant theme “Say No to Drugs – Say Yes to Life.” The primary objective of the activity was to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse, how drugs alter brain functioning, and how this can lead to addiction and other serious physical, mental, and social problems. The event also emphasized the importance of preventive measures and encouraged students to adopt a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.
A total of 30 students participated enthusiastically in the competition. The participants displayed remarkable creativity and artistic talent through their posters, conveying strong and meaningful messages against drug abuse. The artwork vividly illustrated the devastating consequences of addiction and promoted the value of choosing life, health, and positivity over substance abuse.
The activity was conducted under the guidance of Ms Shalini Bibra, incharge of the Red Cross Society. Mrs Rupinder and Ms Dolly also accompanied and motivated the students throughout the event. Their constant support and encouragement contributed significantly to the success of the program.
President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other honourable members of the Managing Committee, and the worthy Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar applauded the efforts of the Red Cross Society and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students. They emphasized the need to organize such awareness activities regularly to foster a responsible, health-conscious, and drug-free society.
