Jalandhar March 31 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The P.G. Department of Computer Science & IT of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, in association with the Placement Cell, successfully organized a five-day workshop on ‘Fundamentals of Digital Skills’ to help prepare students for the upcoming placement drive. The workshop aimed to strengthen fundamental computer knowledge and enhance the technical confidence of the participants.
During the programme, students were introduced to essential computer concepts such as computer hardware and software, operating systems, MS Office tools (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), internet usage, email communication, and basic troubleshooting techniques. Special emphasis was laid on practical sessions so that participants could gain valuable hands-on experience. The workshop also highlighted the importance of computer skills in placement interviews and aptitude-based recruitment processes.
President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice-President Shri Vinod Dada, other honourable members of the Managing Committee, and the worthy Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar appreciated the successful organization of the event and acknowledged the initiative taken by the IT students Ms. Dolcy, Ms. Deeksha, Ms. Prabhleen, and Ms. Priya.
