PCM S.D. College for Women Organises Workshop on Ayurvedic Clothing as a Small-Scale Business

Jalandhar February 25 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Under the able guidance of the worthy Principal, Dr. Pooja Prashar, the PG Department of Fashion Designing of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, in collaboration with IIC and the Incubation Centre, organised a workshop on “Ayurvedic Clothing as a Small-Scale Business.” The resource person for the session was Vaid Dalwinder Singh, an expert in Physio Ayurvedic Meditation. The session aimed to create awareness about the emerging concept of Ayurvedic textiles and their potential as a profitable small-scale business venture.

During the session, he explained how Ayurvedic textiles help in improving skin health, enhancing immunity, and maintaining body balance according to the Ayurvedic doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. The resource person also highlighted the growing demand for organic and chemical-free clothing in both domestic and international markets. The workshop proved to be an enriching learning experience for the students of B.Sc., M.Sc., and B.Voc. Fashion Designing. Students actively participated in the interactive session and raised queries regarding this innovative business idea.

President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, the other honourable members of the Managing Committee, and the worthy Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar appreciated the efforts of the department for organizing such a meaningful and career-oriented workshop for the students.
