NSS Units Lyallpur Khalsa College Conclude Seven Day Special NSS Camp

Jalandhar December 27 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The ongoing Seven Day Special NSS Camp 2025-26 under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India concluded at Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. The said camp was organized from 20th to 26th December 2025 in the college campus and its adopted villages. College Principal Prof. Navdeep Kaur congratulated the NSS volunteers who successfully completed the camp. During the interaction with volunteers, she concluded that the activities of the volunteers during the camp regarding personality development, community service, awareness rallies, street plays on drugs, and life style of the villagers have given vital inputs to students about the challenges that our community and youth face.

She encouraged them to disseminate the values learned during the camp to the society around them. Chief Program Officer Prof. Satpal Singh informed that during this camp volunteers ran cleanliness drives at college campus, library and Lyallpur Khalsa College Halt, visited Orphanage at Budhiana for Feel Good Program, organized the Feel Good Program for Deaf & Dumb at college, conducted awareness rallies on water preservation, drug addiction & tree plantation at villages Budhiana, Johlan & Bolina Doaba, played Nukkad Nattak at Budhiana & Johlan, observed martyrdom of Sahibzadas, put reflectors on blind spots at Budhiana, planted saplings at Village Bolina Doaba and organized youth parliament on Challenges before youth & their solutions.

On the last day of the camp, shabad Gayan, poetry recitation and experience sharing sessions were organized. Camp report and day wise videos were shared. T-shirts & certificates were distributed to the volunteers. Volunteer Jaskaran Singh was declared camp leader. All the volunteers pledged to carry forward the values learnt during these seven days. During this valedictory session, Prof. Navneet Kaur, Prof. Surbjit Singh and Prof. Manju Joshi were also present.
