Jalandhar January 15 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Dr. Simranjit Singh Bains of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar, who has made historic achievements in the field of education, research, culture and sports, took charge as Dean of the Department of Physical Education & Sports. Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu and other teachers presented him with bouquets of flowers and wished him well for the future. It is noteworthy that this department of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar has a very proud history. It has made its own identity at the national and international level.
On this occasion, the Principal Dr. Sandhu highlighted the importance of the Department of Physical Education & Sports and said that the college has won Guru Nanak Dev University’s Teja Singh Samundri Khel Trophy (General Sports Trophy Men) in record 24 times. He assured that under the able leadership of Dr. Simranjit Singh Bains, the department will progress significantly in future. Dr. Simranjit Singh Bains said that he will take the department to greater heights with the cooperation of the other staff members of the department.
On this occasion, he thanked the President of the Governing Council, Sardarni Balbir Kaur, College Principal and the entire committee and assured them of fulfilling the responsibility of this position with full dedication. On this occasion, Dr. Balraj Kaur Head of the English Department, Dr. Harjit Singh Head of the Mathematics Department, Prof. Hariom Verma, Prof. Ajay Kumar, Mr. Jagdish Singh and Mr. Saroop Lal were also present.
