Jalandhar September 1 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar is constantly striving for the prosperity of Punjabi language, literature and culture. Under this series, the Punjabi literary magazine ‘Mantav’ was released by Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu, Head of Post Graduate Punjabi Department Dr. Surinder Pal Mand and other teachers of the department.
Releasing this magazine, the Principal of the college Dr. Sandhu said that Lyallpur Khalsa College has always played a leading role in promoting literary activities. He said that quality literary magazines like ‘Mantav’ are not only serving the mother tongue Punjabi, but are also doing a good job of connecting the young generation with quality literary works, which is very much needed in today’s materialistic era.
Dr. Surinder Pal Mand said that Mantav magazine has an important contribution in literary and cultural exchange. He called the new issue of ‘Mantav’ a joy. It is worth mentioning that Mantav magazine is published from Beas and its editor-in-chief is Mr. Vishal. On the occasion of this release ceremony, teachers of the college’s Post-Graduate Department of Punjabi Dr. Sukhdev Singh Nagra, Prof. Kuldeep Sodhi, Prof. Sandeep Singh and Dr. Surbjit Singh of the Department of Zoology were present.
