Jalandhar February 21 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar, the premier educational institution of North India, has a unique identity in sports, educational and cultural fields. To update students about recent developments in classical music, the Post Graduate Department of Music organized a musical workshop in which Vidushi Sanhita Nandi, a famous classical music singer from West Bengal was the resource person. In this musical workshop, first the classical dance students presented Ganesh Vandana and the music students presented Saraswati Vandana.
After this, the Principal of the college, Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu lit the lamp along with the guests and welcomed the singer Vidushi Sanhita Nandi with flowers. Vidushi Sanhita Nandi presented slow and fast paced songs in different ragas and mesmerized the audience with the melodious melodies of the music. At the end of the program, there was an interactive session on the nuances of music with the singer Vidushi Sanhita Nandi.
Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu thanked Vidushi Sanhita Nandi for participating in the music workshop and motivated the students to work harder to achieve success in music and assured the students that such programs will continue to be organized so that the students can move forward in the fields of education and music. Head of the Department of Music, Prof. Sukhdev Singh, Prof. Kiran Amar, Prof. Mayuri Muskan, Bhagwat Kumar and Manjog Singh along with students were also present in this workshop.
