Jalandhar November 6 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar organized an awareness workshop on “Entrepreneurship & Innovation” as career opportunities. Principal of the college Prof. Navdeep Kaur and members of the IIC welcomed the resource person Mr Charan Kamal, an entrepreneur and eminent motivational speaker. Principal madam in her opening remarks encouraged the students to gain benefit from the efforts of Institution’s Innovation CellI. She added that when jobs are less, the innovation and entrepreneur mindset can result in job creation.
She hopes that these awareness programs can develop good culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the college. IIC Convenor Dr. Geetanjli Kaushal informed about the vision of establishing IICs in Higher Educational Institutions. Mr. Charan Kamal in his lecture emphasized upon devising creative models and to identify the key areas where innovation can be applied. He cited pragmatic examples of start ups in which innovation could turn the person into successful entrepreneur.
The stage was very well managed by IIC Member NSS Program Officer Prof. Satpal Singh. Heads of different departments, faculty members and large number of students were present in this event. The members of IIC Dr. Navdeep Kumar, Dr. Navneet Arora, Prof. Ratnakar Mann, Dr. Manju Joshi and Dr. Daljeet Kaur were instrumental in organising this workshop.
