Jalandhar March 22 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- NSS Units and Red Ribbon Club LKC organized a Blood Donation Camp in the college campus in collaboration with Shriman Hospital, Jalandhar and History Club LKC. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh inaugurated the camp by motivated the students to take part in this noble cause. He added that the blood donation rate in Punjab is less but the youth can reverse the scenario by donating as well as motivating others to donate blood. He advocated that by donating blood, we can serve humanity in real terms. He initiated the event by donating his blood.
Chief Program Officer Satpal Singh informed that there were two different desks; blood donation and blood grouping. He added that there was blood grouping of 130 persons and total 35 units were collected during the camp. Mr. Surinder Saini, a renowned social worker, appreciated the efforts of donors and volunteers of NSS. Students displayed posters of blood donation and raised slogans to motivate students for blood donation. The students who donated blood were given medals, certificates, gifts and refreshment.

NSS volunteers Sonu, Diksha, Palak, Pradum, Yuvraj, Gurvir and others worked passionately in the camp. In addition to this, Zero Balance Saving Account Opening Desk in collaboration with Punjab and Sind Bank was also arranged in which 34 students opened new accounts. During this camp, Vice Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur, Prof. Gagandeep Kaur, Prof. Suman Chopra, Prof. Upma Arora, Prof. PO Amandeep Kaur, PO Surbjit Singh, Prof. Heminder Singh were also present.
