Jalandhar April 11 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- After gaining education in Lyallpur Khalsa College, a considerable number of students are working on higher posts in different fields and the college acknowledges and facilitates them from time to time. In this series, Mr. Harpreet Sandhu, who is working as State Information Commissioner, Punjab visited the college. He was welcomed by Principal Dr. Suman Chopra and the heads of the departments. Principal Madam, in her address, appreciated the journey of Mr. Sandhu from small beginnings to higher echelons. She gave an account of the achievements of Mr. Sandhu which showcased his efforts in the field of environment preservation, social cause, promotion of culture and heritage and comparative legal writing.
She said that Mr. Sandhu has been working on various public administration posts and doing his best for public welfare. Mr. Sandhu in his address shared his college days experiences and paid rich tribute to the teachers who deeply influenced and shaped his career. He stated that good health combined with better education can be very decisive in attaining higher milestones in life. He acknowledged that Lyallpur Khalsa College has laid the perfect foundation in the making of his career.
He also presented his pictorial work dedicated to Shri Guru Teg Bahadur ji and a pictorial calendar about the rich heritage and history of Punjab to the Principal and staff. The stage was managed by Prof. Satpal Singh. During this event, Vice Principal Ms. Navdeep Kaur, heads of different departments and members of teaching and non-teaching fraternity were present.
