KMV honours the students who have achieved unmatched success in their fields

Jalandhar March 7 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised a special program to celebrate International Women’s Day. Mrs Gurjot Kaur, Senior Executive, Ajit Group of Publications was the chief guest for the occasion. Dr. Sushma Chawla, Vice President, K.M.V. Managing Committee, Dr. Kamal Gupta, Member, K.M.V. Managing Committee, Mrs. Parveen Abrol and Mrs. Seema Virdi along with Mrs. Promila, Dr. Amita Sharma, Dr. Oberoi, Dr. Surjeet and other distinguished guests graced the program with their special participation.
Apart from this, this program included the present and former girl students of the school along with those who have achieved a different position in their life by taking the path from struggle to success. Welcoming all the guests, Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulating everyone on International Women’s Day described the changing status and role of women at the global level as encouraging.
Every work done in this institution is dedicated to women empowerment
She averred that women in every sector of the society are trying to fulfil their role with full hard work, dedication, dedication and efficiency. Along with this, in the same context, she also talked in detail about the leading role being played by Kanya Maha Vidyalaya in women empowerment and education and said that every work done in this institution is dedicated to women empowerment.
Mrs. Gurjot Kaur encouraged the students to identify their true purpose in life and keep moving forward to fulfil it. Describing the student life as the golden moments of any person’s life, she also appreciated the tireless efforts made by KMV for women empowerment and making the students self-reliant by educating them as per the global demand. It is noteworthy that during the program, Mrs. Gurjot Kaur, Mrs. Parveen Abrol and Mrs. Sonia Virdi and Principal Mrs. Narendra Sandhu were honored by KMV with the Iconic Women of Substance Award for their valuable contribution towards social development.

Along with the alumni of KMV who have achieved a various positions in their life, the present students of KMV were also honoured during the event. In this program, the former and present students of the institution, who have made a significant mark in various fields along with education like entrepreneurship, fashion designing, media, research, language, sports etc., were honored with the Pride of KMV Award. Among the former students are Sukhjinder Kaur from the field of sports, international level softball player Heera Kumari and Ramandeep Kaur, Bharti Sharma, Assistant Manager, HDFC.
Along with Jasmine Parmar, who is providing services in Bank, Muskaanpreet from Byju, the present students of KMV NCC who made the institution proud in the Republic Day Parade namely Cadet Shweta Rana, Cadet Amarjeet Kaur, Cadet Sujata, Cadet Veenakshi were also honoured. Tanveer Kaur who won the competition for seed money along with Cadet Khushboo Rai, Khushdeep Kaur who proved her mettle in the Federation Cup Softball Championship, National level sitar player Rupali, Head Girl Simran, Khushi Mago who defined entrepreneurship from Bake Studio, Gurjeet Kaur who won the championship in 100 kg weight category were also honoured with Pride of KMV Award.
The names of Jasveer Kaurand Navneet Kaur who made mark in the field of science and innovation are also included. A colourful program presented by the students of the department of ECA also won the hearts of everyone. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr. Madhumeet, Dean, Student Welfare, Dr. Gurjot Kaur & the whole organising committee for organising this successful event.
