Jalandhar April 24 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Ten students of Lyallpur Khalsa College were awarded scholarship of Rs.50,000/- by the Jat Sikh Council today in brief function held in the college office. The beneficiaries of the scholarship included Manpreet Singh, Jasmeet Kaur, Gursharanpreet Singh, Arshdeep Kaur, Jasalpreet Kaur, Kiranjot Kaur, Amrik Singh, Tarmandeep Kaur, Gurneet Kaur and Harjaap Singh. Speaking on the occasion the Principal of the College Dr. Jaspal Singh said that Lyallpur Khalsa College was committed to promoting higher education in the region, adding that all possible efforts would be made to support meritorious and deserving students.
The occasion was graced by the presence of S. Hardipinder Singh Governing Secretary, Jat Sikh Council, S. Sukhwinder Singh Lali Finance Secretary, Executive Member of Jat Silh Council S. Jaspal Singh Waraich (Joint Secretary College Governing Council), S. Gulbahar Singh and S. Sukhbahar Singh, Members, S. Kamaljit Singh Hayer Ex Governing Secretary of the council and senior teachers of the college.
