I-Social Club of PCM SD College for Women holds Group Discussion on ‘Architectural Splendour of Odisha’

Jalandhar April 23 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- According to the guidelines of a national program entitled ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’, the I-Social Club of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar organized a Group Discussion on the topic ‘Architectural Splendour of Odisha’.

The competition aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of the architectural heritage of Odisha, including its unique features, historical context, and cultural significance.

Discussion was also made about the iconic temples such as the Jagannath Temple in Puri, Lingaraja Temple in Bhubaneswar and Konark Sun Temple, exploring their architectural styles, religious significance, and artistic elements. The importance of conservation and preservation efforts to safeguard Odisha’s architectural heritage for future generations were also touched upon.

President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice-President Shri Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Prof.(Dr.) Pooja Prashar applauded the efforts of the club in exploring different facets of India’s rich cultural heritage and promoting cross-cultural exchange and learning among students.
