Jalandhar December 10 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- KT Kala Museum, Amritsar organized the prestigious Punjab State Art Exhibition 2025 on 28 November 2025 at Lawrence Road, Amritsar. The grand event witnessed the participation of 500 artists from across Punjab, making it one of the most significant art gatherings of the year. The exhibition featured two major sections — Professional Category and Budding Artist Category, encompassing five fields of Photography, Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, and Printmaking.
In each category, 10 artists were honoured with cash prizes and certificates, celebrating their creative excellence. The exhibition was inaugurated by the esteemed Chief Guest Er. Ram Pal Chatrath, Retired Engineer, Irrigation Department, Punjab. In his address, he appreciated the efforts of KT Kala Museum in promoting the rich cultural and artistic heritage of Punjab. Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya marked a proud moment as two members of its Fine Arts Department were honoured at the event.
Dr. Shailender Kumar, Assistant Professor, Fine Arts, received the Punjab State Cash Award of ₹10,000/- along with a Certificate in the Drawing Category. Similarly, Preeti Gupta, a talented student of BFA Semester VII, was awarded a Cash Prize of ₹5,000/- in the Painting Category.Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla congratulated both awardees for their remarkable achievement and praised the Fine Arts Department for consistently nurturing creativity and excellence. Dr. Neeru Bharti Sharma (HOD, Fine Arts), along with faculty members Ms. Chahat and Ms. Bhawna, congratulated the members.
