Jalandhar January 16 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- To mark the celebration of National Youth Day, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya successfully organized the ‘Run for Swadeshi (Swadeshi Sankalp Run)’ and a Swadeshi-themed Slogan writing Competition. The students creatively expressed the spirit of Swadeshi by designing impactful slogans that highlighted Indian values, self-reliance, national pride, youth empowerment, and the promotion of indigenous products. The slogan submission activity was conducted in the Skill Block, followed by a rally across the campus to spread awareness and ignite patriotic fervour.
Students from the Department of Design, Fine Arts, and Multimedia participated with remarkable zeal, creating an impressive variety of hand-made and digitally designed posters and slogans. These creative expressions reflected originality, innovation, and a deep understanding of Swadeshi ideology. The selected slogans and posters were displayed on boards and were also showcased during the Swadeshi Run Rally. The rally witnessed energetic participation from both the students and the faculty members, spreading awareness about the Swadeshi spirit, Indian cultural heritage, and national values. The event effectively promoted teamwork, discipline, and a sense of social responsibility among the youth.
Principal, Dr. Ekta Khosla, and Justice (Retd.) Sh. N. K. Sud, Vice President, DAVCMC and Chairman, Local Committee appreciated the efforts of the organizing team and students. They commended the initiative taken by Faculty Head Dr. Rakhi Mehta, Dr. Neeru, Mr. Ashish, and Dr. Shailendra, along with students from various departments, for organizing such a meaningful event. The dignitaries also encouraged the continuation of similar initiatives in the future to promote Indian art, artifacts, and indigenous culture. The event concluded on a positive note by Dr. Anjana Bhatia, IQAC Coordinator, reinforcing the message of Self-Reliant India (Atmanirbhar Bharat) and motivating students to take pride in India’s indigenous heritage.
