Jalandhar December 12 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Under the visionary guidance of Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla, HMV Collegiate Senior Secondary School organized an impactful Extension Lecture on Cyber Crime, aimed at equipping students with awareness in today’s rapidly evolving digital world. The resource person, Dr. Urvashi Sharma Mishra, Associate Professor and Dean, Student Council, HMV, delivered an informative and engaging session. She shed light on the rising concerns of identity theft, phishing attacks, cyber bullying, online financial frauds, weak password practices, and the legal consequences associated with cyber offenses.
Through real-life examples and practical tips, she encouraged students to follow responsible digital behaviour, maintain strong cyber hygiene, and remain vigilant while using social media and digital payment platforms. School Coordinator Mrs. Arvinder Kaur highlighted that in an era driven by technology, awareness and caution serve as the strongest defense against cyber threats.
She appreciated the initiative, noting that such educational efforts play a crucial role in shaping digitally aware, safe, and responsible young citizens. The session concluded with an interactive question–answer round, where students participated enthusiastically, seeking clarity on various cyber issues.
