HMV Collegiate School Conducts Students’ Council Installation Ceremony

Jalandhar September 8 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School organized its Installation Ceremony to formally induct the newly elected Student Council for the academic session 2026–27 under the able guidance of the Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla. Principal Dr. Khosla was accorded a warm welcome with a planter by Dr. Urvashi Mishra, Dean, Student Council, and Mrs. Upma Gupta, School In-charge. The newly appointed student leaders were formally invested with their badges and entrusted with their respective responsibilities. Taking the oath of office, they pledged to discharge their duties sincerely and responsibly while upholding the values of loyalty, truth, and honour.

Diya Vaid of SSC-II Non-Medical was appointed Head Girl. Nikita of SSC-II Commerce and Uma of SSC-II Arts were appointed Joint Head Girls. Harkirat Kaur of SSC-I Commerce, Arshiya of SSC-I Arts and Anandi of SSC-I Medical were appointed Assistant Head Girls. The Class Representatives and Task Force members, who form an integral part of the Student Council, were also formally inducted. Thirteen students were selected for the Task Force, while nine students were appointed as Class Representatives.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla congratulated the newly inducted student leaders and highlighted the importance of effective leadership through the concept of the Three Hs—Head to Think, Heart to Feel and Hand to Do. She encouraged them to become role models for their fellow students, perform their responsibilities judiciously, maintain discipline and integrity, and remain guided by strong moral values. She also urged them to strive for academic excellence, actively participate in sports and co-curricular activities, take care of their well-being, support their fellow students, and show due respect to their teachers.

Dr. Khosla further encouraged them to treat their oath as a sincere commitment and to always strive for excellence. Dr. Urvashi Mishra, Dean, Student Council, congratulated the newly appointed office bearers and emphasized that leadership is not merely about holding a position or wearing a badge; rather, it is a responsibility to serve others with sincerity, dedication, and integrity. She further encouraged the student leaders to remain fair, disciplined, approachable, and committed to working collectively for the progress and welfare of the school.

The ceremony concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Mrs. Upma Gupta, School Incharge. She expressed her gratitude to Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla, Dr. Seema Marwaha, School Advisor, faculty members, the HMV Student Council, and the supporting staff for their valuable contributions to the successful organization of the programme. The ceremony concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
