Jalandhar September 8 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, organized its annual photography exhibition ‘Nazariya 3.0′ today. The exhibition displayed creative perspectives of the students under five themes – Shadow and Lights, Portraits, Nature, Moments in Motion, and Heritage. The exhibition provided a platform for budding photographers to showcase their artistry. It witnessed an overwhelming and enthusiastic response from the students and faculty alike, who appreciated the participants’ creative vision and execution.
The winners of the exhibition were selected by the eminent judge Mr. Rajesh Kalsi of the Design Department.
The results of the competition are as follows:
Shadow and Lights: 1st – Aryan (BFA), 2nd – Anjila, 3rd – Sahibpreet Singh (HCM)
Portrait: 1st – Samita (BFA), 2nd – Sahibpreet Singh (HCM), 3rd – Shreya (JMC)
Nature: 1st – Manya Aggarwal (MA English), 2nd – Anjani (Interior Design), 3rd – Ibnat (JMC)
Moments in Motion: 1st – Samita (BFA) 2nd – Japnoor Kaur (B.Com), 3rd – Parth (JMC)
Heritage: 1st – Kirat (JMC), 2nd – Niharika Sharma ( interior design ) 3rd – Naina (Interior Design)
In the light of the success of the exhibition, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra remarked that photography is an art form through which we portray various facets of our society—whether related to art or nature—and noted that the college students have beautifully depicted our society through these images. She also appreciated the work of the students, engaged with them to understand the story behind their photographs, and gave them best wishes for their future creative projects. She also commended the efforts of the faculty members from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication—Mr. Mohit, Ms. Ritu, and Ms. Ayushi—in making the event a success.
