Jalandhar October 4 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The PG Department of Computer Science and IT celebrated International Programmer’s Day on 12th September 2024 by organizing a series of competitions to showcase the talents of its students. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation in multiple categories, including Web Development using HTML / JavaScript, Programming using C/C++ and Office Automation using MS Word. Over a hundred students took part, making it a vibrant and competitive celebration. In the Web Development competition, Ms. Bhavya, Ms. Mehak, and Ms. Surbhi from BCA Semester V outshined others by securing the first position with their innovative project designs and coding skills.
Ms Kanishka and Ms Tiya from BCA Semester III stood first in Programming Using C/C++ competition. In the Office Automation category, Ms. Hitika Arora and Ms Navina Sharma from BCA Semester I stood first. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, Principal of the institution, who congratulated the students for their remarkable achievements and praised the faculty for their efforts in organizing such an engaging event.
Principal reiterated the importance of such events in nurturing the technical and professional skills of students. Dr. Sangeeta Arora (HOD) and Dr. Anil Bhasin served as the overall Incharge, ensuring the smooth conduct of all competitions and motivated them to strive for excellence. The various competitions were evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges, including Mr. Gullagong, Mr. Gurmeet, Mr. Jagjit Bhatia, Dr. Ravinder Jindal, Ms. Sonia Mahindru, and Mr. Pardeep Mehta. Their expertise and fair assessment contributed to the success of the event. The faculty members, Mrs. Sangeeta Bhandari and Dr. Urvashi, were also present to support and encourage the participants.
