Panchkula, August 27 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The half-yearly meeting of the Nagar Rajbhasha Implementation Committee, Panchkula for the year 2025-26 was held in Panchkula. This Committee, which works under the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, is a joint body of Central Government offices, undertakings, and banks in the city for promoting the use of Hindi.
The meeting was chaired by Ms. Komal Jagpal, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Panchkula. The Department of Official Language was represented by Joint Director, Mr. Kumar Pal Sharma. A total of 84 heads and representatives of different offices attended the meeting.
During the meeting, members discussed in detail the programs to be held at the city level during 2025-26. On this occasion, 57 winners of competitions organized in 2024-25 were given awards.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kumar Pal Sharma said that the progress of the Official Language can be achieved through Kanth(Vocal), Kalam (Writting), and Computer.
In her address, Ms. Komal Jagpal encouraged all office heads to make dedicated efforts for the effective use of Hindi in their offices. She also motivated them to use simple Hindi and mixed language to achieve Rajbhasha goals.
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by the Committee Secretary, who thanked all members for their presence.
